Ingraham: ABC Moderators Acted as Kamala Harris' "Debate Coaches

Fox News host Laura Ingraham accused ABC News moderators of acting like Vice President Kamala Harris' "coaches" during the ABC News Presidential Debate, saying they "served up softballs with zero follow-ups."
Fox News host Laura Ingraham blasted ABC News moderators for their handling of the ABC News Presidential Debate, accusing them of acting as Vice President Kamala Harris' "debate coaches" and serving up "softballs with zero follow-ups."
"I want you to ignore most of the commentary you've heard from the pundit class on the debate last night," Ingraham said on "The Ingraham Angle." "As usual, the talking heads misread the concerns of millions of Americans watching at home."
Ingraham: ABC Moderators Acted as Kamala Harris' "Debate Coaches
Ingraham claimed that the moderators "were essentially acting as Kamala Harris' debate coaches" and "time and again, they served up softballs with zero follow-ups."
Ingraham pointed to the fact that a top executive at Disney, which owns ABC News, is a longtime friend of Harris.
"Remember, a top exec at Disney — whose portfolio includes ABC News — is a longtime pal of Kamala Harris," Ingraham said.
Ingraham also argued that Harris "showed us last night that she's really not a lot more than a puppet of the failed D.C. establishment."
"Now, she took weeks to rehearse, during which she said "no," had no adversarial press interviews, and then with a friendly panel, showed that she can memorize some lines and speak in platitudes," Ingraham said.
Ingraham said that from the start, Harris knew she would not be fact-checked or asked real follow-up questions, but even with the moderators' help, "Harris revealed a lot about herself, and the picture was not altogether positive."
Ingraham's comments echo those of other conservative commentators who criticized the moderators for being too easy on Harris.
"The moderators were so soft on Kamala Harris that it was almost embarrassing," said conservative commentator Ben Shapiro. "They let her get away with murder."
ABC News has not commented on Ingraham's criticism.
