Fox News host Laura Ingraham criticized the mainstream media for their coverage of Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing them of "humiliating" themselves in their efforts to promote her image. Ingraham argued that the media's focus on Harris's personal qualities and style, rather than her policies and accomplishments, was a reflection of the Democratic Party's desperation to rehabilitate its image.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham has launched a scathing attack on the mainstream media for their coverage of Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing them of engaging in a "humiliating" attempt to promote her image.
In a segment on her show, "The Ingraham Angle," Ingraham argued that the media's focus on Harris's personal qualities and style, such as her laugh and her fashion choices, was a reflection of the Democratic Party's desperation to rehabilitate its image after a string of policy failures.
Laura Ingraham Slams Media for Humiliating Coverage of Kamala Harris
"For years, polls have shown that Americans soured on the products they were offering, meaning the results of the Biden-Harris policies," Ingraham said. "Yet no matter what, the party refuses to change. Instead, they keep serving up the same terrible policies, only with a new pitch woman and new branding."
Ingraham contrasted the media's coverage of Harris with their previous coverage of former President Joe Biden, who she argued was portrayed as a more serious and weighty figure.
"With Biden, the pitch was very gloomy. It was doom and gloom — warnings about how Trump will be a dictator, ‘it'll be the end of democracy,'" Ingraham said. "With Harris and Walz, it's all vibes. It's all good, but no substance."
Ingraham also criticized the media for ignoring the negative impact of the Biden-Harris administration's policies on middle-class Americans.
"For three-and-a-half years, the Democrats have cruelly ignored the strain that these bad policies have put on middle-class Americans," Ingraham said. "As committed leftists, their policies are non-negotiable."
Ingraham's comments come as the Biden administration faces criticism for its handling of a range of issues, including the economy, immigration, and foreign policy. The Democratic Party is also facing an uphill battle in the upcoming midterm elections, with many analysts predicting that Republicans will regain control of the House of Representatives.
In a statement to Fox News, a spokesperson for the Democratic National Committee defended the Biden-Harris administration's record and accused Ingraham of engaging in "baseless attacks."
"The Biden-Harris administration has made significant progress in addressing the challenges facing our country, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the economic crisis, and the climate crisis," the spokesperson said. "Laura Ingraham's baseless attacks are nothing more than an attempt to distract from the real issues facing Americans."
